The Summer School in Digital Humanities was launched on 5th of September 2016 in Hissar within the framework of the “Technological ecosystems in the humanities” Program of the Center for excellence “Alma Mater” at Sofia University. It enjoyed the participation of 25 students, post-graduates and researchers from 20 countries although more than 60 candidates applied for the event.

1. Three Dimensional Visualization of Scientific Data Used in Research, Project leader: Associate professor Dimitar Birov, PhD, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Sofia University
The project plans to develop different forms for 3D visualization of information in different scientific fields and to publish the findings in a specialized academic collection.

Between 7th and 12th September, the Summer School in Digital Humanities and IT took place in Borovets, Bulgaria. It was organized in the framework of the Technological Ecosystems in the Humanities Research Programme of the Centre of Excellence in the Humanities to the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. This is the fourth of a series of events on the same topic that have been organized by the Digital Humanities research team at the CEH to the University since 2013.
