Aims
- To study the social, political and cultural dimensions of identity within the framework of Sofia University Center for Excellence in the Humanities “Alma Mater”
- To promote the Bulgarian education and culture in the country and abroad
- To launch an integrated informational and educational platform to teach Bulgarian language, Bulgarian history, geography and culture
- To develop and apply innovative models and approaches in teaching and education of media and information literacy
- To identify, study and promote places of natural, historical, cultural, architectural and scientific value
- To develop and apply new approaches in of multifunctional landscapes’ planning and management
- To initiate a Balkan Convention for sustainability of the mountain regions
- To set up an international academic network for policy making aimed at the sustainable ecological, social and cultural development of the mountain regions in the Balkans
